The Amazon A9 algorithm is a system to drive more traffic to the e-commerce initiative. The A9 algorithm is the system Amazon uses to determine how products are ranked in search results. This algorithm is different in a number of ways from the algorithm used by Google. The Amazon A9 algorithm also considers keywords to determine which results are most relevant to a given search query. The difference, however, is that Amazon A9 places a strong emphasis on buying conversions. This is because Amazon is a business and has a vested interest in promoting offers that are more likely to lead to sales. The effect is that an offer that is ranked higher is more likely to generate traffic and therefore a higher chance of sales.
