KISS
Also called: keep it simple, stupid, keep it simple & straightforward or keep it short and simple
The KISS principle(short for keep it simple, stupid) assumes that things work best for the products when they are kept simple rather than made complex. Simplicity should be a primary goal when creating designs. As a result, development goes faster, fewer mistakes are made, and management and maintenance are also easier.
The term originated within the U.S. military in the 1960s and is widely pursued in software development. It is also used within graphic design, where it is akin to the motto "less is more. The same goes for copywriting, where it is akin to "kill your darlings" and writing is deleting.
