Windows mixed reality
Also aka: Holographic
Windows mixed reality is a part of the Windows 10 and 11 operating system that offers a mix of physical and digital worlds. The term is a derivative of virtual and augmented reality. Virtual reality (VR) simulates an environment in which the user is immersed in a life-like experience through various senses. This virtual reality experience is called "presence." The term augmented reality (AR) can be translated as augmented reality. This is when reality is provided with added information as is the case with live images that are supplemented with digital elements.
In the case of VR, the user is completely cut off from the outside world which is not the case with AR. Windows mixed reality is thus a platform that brings both virtual and augmented reality closer for every user. The platform was originally known as Holographic.
