Rankbrain
Also called: self-learning algorithm
Rankbrain is a term for the artificial intelligence system of search engines such as Google. This artificial intelligence system uses algorithms compiled by machine learning (and thus no longer by humans). This is therefore a self-learning algorithm. These systems thus develop themselves by drawing conclusions from a constantly available supply of digital information. From this, the new ranking factors (the new standards a website must meet) are also determined. These factors are continuously adjusted without human influence. Google Rankbrain thus transcends the level of human knowledge.
The search engine uses Rankbrain not only as a heavyweight metric to rank search results but also to better deal with unknown searches. This makes use of Tensor Processing Unit (TPU). This is a neural network machine learning system developed by Google. With the introduction of Rankbrain, the focus on specific keywords is increasingly being shifted to creating high-quality content of great value to the visitor.
