Directories
Also called folder structure
A directory is a location on the computer where files can be stored. To get a good overview of this, you can choose to create a complete directory structure.
The main purpose of using directories is to make file management a lot simpler (read: clearer). After all, a hierarchical structure consisting of directories combined with subdirectories can be created in them.
By using directories, different forms of content or specific topics can be gathered together. By using advanced search functions or even artificial intelligence, directories can be arranged and retrieved in a very simple way.
Directories can be used at a local level so on a specific computer, but also on a Web server at the time content is shared with others.
