Deep web

The deep web is the part of the web that is not accessible with regular search engines such as Google and Bing. Regular search engines do not show all existing websites and pages of the worldwide web in search results. The vast majority of the worldwide web consists of deep web.
Websites and Web pages belonging to the deep Web are often not intended for a large audience. Therefore, this part of the Internet is not accessible to everyone. To access Web pages of the deep Web, you often need the exact URL. In addition, such pages often require a username and password to log in.
All Web pages requiring authentication belong to the deep Web. Examples include corporate databases, bank accounts, social media accounts, and personal accounts on Web shops.
The counterpart of the deep web is the surface web.
