EPS
Also called: Encapsulated PostScript
Encapsulated PostScript (EPS) is a file format for saving images. Files in this format have the extension .eps.
EPS files are prepared in PostScript, a programming language for describing graphics. An EPS file, unlike a PS file, contains only one page.
The big plus of EPS over most other file formats is the ability to format images in vectors. This makes it easy to enlarge or reduce images without loss of quality. For this reason, among others, EPS is widely used for storing and exchanging logos.
