XOps
XOps is an umbrella term for IT functions such as DataOps, MLOps, GitOps, CloudOps and BizDevOps. Also known as DevOps 2.0, the latter IT functionality is an approach to software development that encourages developers, operations personnel and business teams to work together. Efficiency in work processes within an organization is the rationale behind this. By applying BizDevOps, an organization is able to develop software faster and can better respond to user demand, thereby maximizing revenue.
DataOps is deployed to reduce the cycle time of data analysis projects while improving quality. MLOps is an application that focuses on creating, implementing and maintaining machine learning models. This is another umbrella term that encompasses a combination of different methods. GitOps is focused on managing infrastructure and application systems using Git (open-source version control system).
CloudOps is a functionality aimed at managing activities that optimize IT workloads or services in the cloud. Although this functionality is aimed at improving the accessibility and efficiency of cloud services, XOps functionalities are primarily focused on the development and security of the functionalities. Networking and cloud operations must be effectively integrated to build secure and reliable systems for workloads.
