WYSIWYG
Also called What You See Is What You Get, visual editor or rich text editor
WYSIWYG is an abbreviation for What You See Is What You Get. It stands for a form of maintenance of websites and web pages in which the HTML source code of pages is not edited, but thanks to a special editor one can work directly in the formatted page. The web editor thereby immediately sees the result of each adjustment.
WYSIWYG is widely used in software packages to build Web sites and in content management systems. The functionalities of a WYSIWYG editor resemble those of familiar word processors such as Microsoft Word, except that the underlying code the editor creates consists of HTML and CSS.
