Embedded
Embedding means placing content on a Web page or social media channel rather than just linking to it. An essential part of embedding on Web pages is HTML.
With an embedded video, for example, you 'borrow' a video from YouTube. This 'borrowed' video can then be found on another web page. Visitors can then view the 'YouTube video on the Web page with the 'borrowed' video, without leaving this page. In contrast, when linking a video, only the hyperlink is shared. Visitors must then click on the link, after which they are redirected to YouTube.
Embedding makes visitors stay on the same website longer because they are not forced to view content on another website. In this way, websites are less likely to lose their visitors.
