Microblogging
What is a microblog?
A microblog is a website or platform, where the owner or user can post short messages, photos, links and other media. Unlike a traditional weblog, microblogging is all about posting short snippets, shared content and status updates. This fast and instant form of communication allows real-time information to be shared and received, making microblogging ideal for sharing snapshots, news stories, thoughts and other short messages.
Microblogging platforms
Examples of popular microblogging services include Twitter (known for its tweet limit of up to 280 characters) and Tumblr. Facebook' s status updates can also be seen as a form of microblogging.
