Web shops have played an important part in the rise of e-commerce, helped by opportunities to pay for the online order immediately via the Web as well.
The advantage of an online store is that it is not site-bound and is basically always open. This allows customers to store from the comfort of their armchair at their convenience. Web shops can offer a very wide or just very specialized assortment because they do not have the logistical challenges of a physical store.
