A redesign involves updating the design of a Web site or corporate identity. Other elements, such as texts and other content and the underlying technology such as a CMS are generally maintained. The innovation in a redesign is relatively limited and mainly intended to refresh the existing design so that it can last longer.
Especially with websites, the need for a redesign may present itself after a few as trends within web design and new insights surrounding the website give rise to it. A redesign can also be aimed at increasing visitor numbers and conversion rates.
