2xx page
A 2xx page is a term for an HTTP status response code that represents the state of communication between servers and browsers. These HTTP status response codes are important for any request to access a Web site or Web page. These codes are important because there can be a difference in how servers respond to a request from a browser. A 2xx page can be seen as a successful page, even though the term 2xx can have multiple meanings. This is because the letters represent multiple digit combinations. Indeed, these 2 digits after the first digit 2 indicates the status of the request. Here the following combinations are possible:
- The HTTP status code 200 means that everything is ok and the visitors of your website or shop and search engines can see all the content without any problems.
- The HTTP status code 201 indicates that the request has completed and a new resource is being created.
- The HTTP status code 202 indicates that the request has been accepted but not yet fully completed.
A 2xx page has a lot of impact on the findability of a page or website. It ensures that its content is highly visible to both the visitor and the search engine.
