Wireframe
A wireframe is a schematic representation of a Web site or Web page. Wireframes are thus visual representations used to make the information structure, with its associated content and navigation functions, clear. Using this "blueprint" also makes it immediately clear how these applications connect and work together. A wireframe can best be seen as a construction drawing of a website. This document therefore serves as the basis for actually designing it. It focuses on the content and functionality of the page or site in question. No attention is paid to the design of a wireframe. This makes a wireframe a very practical application. It shows the layout of the pages without paying attention to aspects such as style, color and graphic elements.
When designing a wireframe, the focus is on the following aspects:
- Structure of the website or web page. This shows the relationship between the various components.
- Layout of the website or web page, This involves understanding how the various elements connect with each other.
- Navigation between sections of a web page or website
- Functionalities of the different elements so in what way the different elements determine the interaction, ease of use and efficiency of the website.
