The term artwork refers to a graphic work. The literal translation is artwork or artistic work. Often artwork refers to a collection of artistic work.
Artwork can consist of illustrations, photographs and other non-textual material intended for use in a publication. Such a publication can be a book, newspaper or magazine, as well as an advertisement, advertising campaign or website.
In digital form, in addition to images, a collection of artwork often includes instructions on how to use it.
The term is widely used in the music world for the design of an album or single's cover, the carrier itself and any booklet. Another word for this is cover art.
