Align
Also called: alignment
Alignment, within graphic design, means aligning the position of an object with that of another element or relative to available space. Alignment can be applied to text, images and other visual elements. Proper alignment within a design creates a professional and cohesive image.
The meaning of alignment
Aligning parts creates peace in the image. Your eyes unconsciously recognize patterns. By aligning elements in relation to each other, they start to form a logical whole, rather than floating randomly in space. Logical alignment and the strategic use of white space can help focus attention on the content and recognize structures within it.
When formatting designs, pages and Web pages, a grid is often used, in which a plane is divided into several columns and/or rows. Working with guides and grids while designing can also simplify the process of aligning.
Way of alignment
For example, text and photos can be aligned left or right relative to a margin or typesetting mirror. Centering and filling out are also among the alignment options.
