Tagcloud
Also called: word cloud or word cloud
A tagcloud is a collection of hyperlinks placed one after the other to form a cloud. A tag cloud can serve as an alternative means of navigation within a Web site.
The collection consists of tags, keywords formed, for example, by the categories associated with a series of articles or commonly used keywords within a Web site. Assigning categories and tags to pages and articles is also known as taxonomy.
Typically, the formatting of tags varies among themselves. Popular or important tags are then shown with larger and/or thicker letters so that they stand out the most. This varied formatting enhances the imagination of a cloud made up of words.
