Marketing Scan
Several marketing agencies offer a marketing scan. This examines an organization's marketing activities. It looks at the marketing mix, what marketing activities are taking place and what the ROI of these activities is. Usually a SWOT analysis is also part of this scan.
A marketing scan can be used as a kind of second opinion to get a fresh look at your own marketing, communication and promotion. Often the marketing scan is then initially a limited analysis, a quick scan. The reason these types of scans are offered is not infrequently that the marketing agencies offering them want to create entry points for acquisition of new customers.
