Proactive
Proactive, a proactive attitude or mindset is one that takes initiative before a question is asked or a need is perceived. An organization that is proactive looks ahead and takes charge. Choices are made and actions are initiated with an eye on future opportunities and threats.
With proactivity, certain events or experiences can be prevented or benefited from through timely response. In various ways, a proactive attitude toward a customer can enhance service quality and customer experience. Adopting a proactive attitude toward offers opportunities to solve problems before they arise and can meet needs that the customer is not yet aware of or has not yet made known.
A person who is proactive is also said to have foresight. Proactive individuals will often take the initiative, set the direction and take charge. Proactivity and a proactive attitude are much sought-after qualities in job postings.
The opposite of proactive is reactive.
