Attention value
Also called: attention value or attention value
What is the attention value?
Attention value is the degree to which a communication expression succeeds in capturing the attention of the audience. To convey a message, it is a requirement that the viewer, listener, reader or passerby consciously receive and absorb it. An advertisement with a low attention value may not be effective beforehand.
Attracting attention is the first stage within the AIDA model.
How is attention value determined?
In the advertising world, the attention value of an ad position is determined, among other things, by the format, the position on the page (for example, above the fold), the page or pages chosen within the issue, and the reach of the medium. In stores, listings get a prominent spot on a header, which has a higher attention value.
