Funnel tracking
Through funnel tracking, you can visualize whether the pages of your website efficiently lead the user to the target page. So a tracking system on your website measures the customer journey. In the case of a web shop, the target page is the payment page. The front or home page usually has the most visitors because that is the first page users encounter when they search on the company name or type in the URL directly. The pages below that often have fewer visitors since users often leave the website before the goal is reached. If the website is not easy to navigate and therefore not user-friendly, the bounce rate will be higher.
A good sales funnel
To establish good sales funnel tracking, these points must be incorporated:
- Findability - Prospects should be able to find the products or services, make sure your website is search engine optimized
- Connection - Prospects today go out on their own to find information and want to be convinced of your uniqueness. Your website must provide conviction with clear information to generate leads
- Experience - People make most decisions emotionally and subconsciously. Have the website respond to people's subconscious and emotional. Give prospects a sense of recognition to gain trust
- Trust - Of course, you want the anonymous visitor to turn into a customer. But the anonymous user only shares his or her email address when there is trust and value for the customer. Generate leads by providing relevant and valuable content
- Relevance - Each lead goes through its own buyer journey. Create buyer personas with matching buyer journeys on your website. By using lead nurturing you can focus your campaigns on different topics that fit different buyer personas.
- Service - Deliver what you promise. Customers are more likely to return and recommend your products or services to others if your service is optimal.
A good sales funnel
A well-defined sales funnel has several stages starting from the lead to the delivery stage. The goal is that the prospect leaves the sales funnel, conversion has occurred and the prospect turns into a loyal customer. It is important to properly track and monitor each part of the funnel. Of course, you don't want a potential customer to leave before a conversion has occurred. Keep analyzing, optimizing and monitoring the sales funnel and create reports to understand what works and what does not work.
