Awareness, trial, repeat
Also called: Awareness, trial, repeat(ATR)
Awareness, trial, repeat (ATR) is a pattern of three essential steps in consumers' acceptance of products before they will repeatedly and faithfully adopt a product. ATR describes the adoption process leading up to loyal users of a particular product.
Before someone (regularly) buys a product, this consumer will first have to know that it exists and what features it has. This awareness can be created, for example, through advertising. Now that the potential customer knows about the product, it is important that he tries it out (trial). To this end, the customer can possibly be triggered with an offer or trial package. If he likes the product, the consumer will buy it again (repeat) and there is a loyal buyer of the product.
