Second opinion
Also called: expert opinion
A second opinion involves asking a second, independent expert for an opinion. A second opinion can be used to determine the accuracy of, for example, a medical diagnosis, the outcome of an investigation into a product defect, or the proposed handling of a complaint. A second opinion can also be used to verify the advice of a vendor or legal professional before decisions are made based on such advice.
A second opion can also be useful to review existing processes and policies. This is often done near a quick scan.
