Landing page
Also called: landing page, entry page, entrance page or destination page
The landing page, landing page or destination page is the Web page where a visitor enters a Web site after clicking on a banner, text link, text ad or search result. Often landing pages are created specifically for this purpose.
Especially with a landing page, but actually with any web page, it poses a challenge to retain the visitor and entice him to look further on the website after the entry page, to eventually lead him to a conversion. Therefore, when creating a landing page, the AIDA model is often used.
By using keywords in the text of a landing page that can be used by the page's target audience, search engines are more likely to refer to the specific landing page in their search results. Within search engine marketing programs such as Google Adwords, the content of the landing page helps determine the cost per click of an ad.
