Linkbait
By link bait we mean content within a website that is of such interest that it invites external links to the web page in question. Link baiting is thus a form of link building as part of search engine optimization.
Examples of link bait:
- Valuable information, such as tips that can benefit;
- Valuable tools, such as a program to calculate something;
- Humorous content;
- News/actuality;
- Free widgets that can be placed on websites.
