Run of site
Also known as: ros
Run of site means that ads from an online ad campaign are shown on one specific website within an ad network. Often this involves multiple websites within a single campaign.
The advertiser chooses the website (or websites) on which to display its banners or text links. Websites are generally chosen based on known interests and other characteristics of visitors.
The cost of a run of site campaign is higher than a campaign whose impressions are distributed among a large number of sites. On the other hand, the advertiser knows that the audience is a good match for his desired target audience.
Other forms of online media planning are run of network and run of channel.
