Cost per view
Also known as: cpv
Cost per view(Abbreviation: CPV) represents the cost charged to the advertiser at the time his or her ad is shown to a user. It is a widely used payment model for pre-roll video ads.
Whether fees are charged for showing an ad video depends on the agreements between the advertiser and the website on which it is posted. Fees may be charged only when the video ad is fully played, or at a minimum length (for example, 15 seconds). Although playing a video is a direct form of advertising, playing a video does not necessarily mean it was actually viewed by the visitor. The percentage of video ads placed that have been viewed is expressed in viewability.
