Cost per engagement
Also known as: cpe
Cost per engagement(abbreviation: CPE) represents the cost to a visitor who interacts with a creative advertisement, such as a banner. The term usually refers to online ads.
With cost per engagement, the advertiser pays each time a user interacts with an advertisement. Often the expression consists of a banner that unfolds once the visitor hovers on it for a certain amount of time.
This unfolded banner can in turn contain interactive content and video. These types of ads have a strong advertising effect even before the visitor has actually clicked through to the advertiser's website.
