Inventory
Also called: ad inventory or advertising space
Inventory is the amount of space a publisher of a print publication or online medium has available for advertisements. The term can refer to the number of advertising spaces or the physical size of the space, as well as the circulation or the monthly reach or number of impressions of the positions in question.
The size of the inventory depends on the amount of banner positions, the formats of these positions and the reach, online in the form of raw views or unique visitors. The ad inventory of an Internet site can be broken down by ad format, position on the page and parts of the site. For an ad network consisting of multiple sites, the total inventory can be divided into channels, within which the desired audience can be constructed.
