Color Range
Also called: PMS range
A color fan is a bound collection of color samples, which can be used, among other things, when choosing colors for a corporate identity or graphic design. Each color is labeled with the corresponding color code. The form can be a color book or color guide in addition to a fan.
The advantage over choosing colors from a monitor is that colors can turn out differently in print than on a monitor.
Color fans intended for graphic design generally contain PMS colors and/or CMYK colors. The advantage of the PMS standard is that professional devices are calibrated to print these Pantone colors correctly, giving the creator assurance of an identical end result.
