Bold
Also called: bold or boldface
Bold means bold. When formatting texts, important words and titles can be given extra emphasis by making the letters appear thicker. Applying different letter shapes (such as italics as well), in addition to punctuation, is an additional way to make texts readable and add meaning.
Some fonts have different variations and thicknesses for bold letters.
