Quarter to date
Also known as: QTD
Month to date is the period from the first day of the quarter to a given date during the quarter. The term is common in the context of corporate performance. Quarter to date results refers to the results of the current quarter to date.
By comparing these results with the same period of the previous quarter, insight can be gained into performance in the current quarter. It should be noted, however, that figures from a short period may be less representative. It is also preferable to compare the results with those of a comparable period.
