Ambiguous
Something is ambiguous when different meanings or interpretations are possible. Other words for ambiguous are ambiguous and ambiguous. Ambiguity is also associated with vagueness and ambiguity.
Ambiguity usually refers to text. Both sentences and individual words can be ambiguous. Often the intended meaning of a text is apparent from the context of the expression or from the emphasis of its pronunciation.
Such ambiguities may be used intentionally, as a form of style or, for example, to draw the audience into a particular line of reasoning. Unintentional ambiguities are also common, even more common than we ourselves realize, mainly due to the limitations of languages in semantics and grammar.
Ambiguity can also occur in mathematical formulas and programming code, despite the existence of conventions from the need for absolute clarity around notations and logical formulations.
