Query parameter
A query parameter is a term for a defined set of parameters placed at the end of a URL. By providing a URL with these extensions, it is understood that a Web site visitor is searching for a specific word or phrase. Indeed, a query parameter is used to define specific (search) actions based on data being passed.
A query parameter can be designed with a letter or a word such as s, q, search or query. In addition, query parameters can be added to the end of the URL with a "?". Query parameters can be viewed as a useful source of information about a visitor's behavior on a Web site. After all, a query parameter provides a Web site owner with ways to track search queries.
