Exit page
Also called: exit page
The exit page or exit page is the page that the visitor to a Web site visited last while visiting the site. Thus, it is the page through which the website was exited.
In an ideal scenario, the exit page is the web page displayed after a conversion has taken place. The visitor has then found what he was looking for and the owner of the website has gained a (potential) customer.
When analyzing a Web site's statistics, one often looks at pages with a high exit rate. By improving these pages, visitors can be enticed to stay longer on the website, which can yield more conversions.
