BVA

BVA (in full: BVA association of advertisers) is the trade association for advertisers in the Netherlands.
BVA is the forgotten representative and advocate of Dutch advertisers. The association has existed since 1919 and was founded because of dissatisfaction with the clarity of circulation data and high rates.
BVA's core tasks are to promote the freedom to communicate brands and products, striving for as much self-regulation as possible, to support members, including by offering advice, figures and trade information, and to facilitate knowledge exchange among members.
The BVA maintains contacts with the Dutch and European governments and is involved in various organizations and initiatives around communication and advertising. For example, together with VEA and Adfo Group, BVA annually presents the Efie Awards for effective marketing communication.
