Bottom-up
Bottom-up refers to an approach or process in which attention begins with the smallest, individual elements or details, and gradually works upward to form a larger whole. In other words, it starts at the base and builds up from there. It contrasts with top-down, which focuses on the bigger picture and then descends to the details.
Bottom-up: A step-by-step approach from the details to the whole.
In a bottom-up approach, one begins by gathering specific data, information or inputs from the lowest level. Then these details are analyzed and interpreted to arrive at broader conclusions, patterns or concepts. The term "bottom-up" is often used in various fields, such as management, programming, engineering and biology. It contrasts with a "top-down" approach, where one starts with a general overview and then moves to specific details.
