A boardroom is a meeting room where the board of an organization meets. This room is specially designed to facilitate meetings where important decisions are made. This is where strategic plans are discussed, performance is reviewed and decisions are made about the development of the company.
Function and facilities boardroom
The role of the boardroom is to provide a formal, well-equipped place for the board to meet efficiently and effectively. Privacy and amenities such as screens and sound systems are important here. Boardrooms are used in both the private and public sectors, and within (large) corporations, non-profit organizations and government agencies. Boardrooms can be found in any company where a formal board is active.
