Convenience store
Also called: convenience store
A convenience store or convenience store is a small store in a place where many people visit, such as a train station, gas station or a central location in the city. The store is mainly used for small, quick purchases of products for everyday use. Although the convenience store is somewhat similar to a supermarket, it is at most 100 square meters in area.
In addition to the location, the assortment of the convenience store is also geared toward customer convenience. This consists of a limited food selection (food and beverages), supplemented by items such as personal care products, magazines and cigarettes. Sometimes small sandwich counter is also present.
Convenience store prices are generally a bit higher than those of a regular supermarket. This is almost always offset by extended opening hours, sometimes as long as 24 hours a day.
