The xennials
Xennials is a term used to describe a specific generation born between the late 1970s and early 1980s, often in the period between 1977 and 1983. This generation is somewhere between the older millennials and the younger Generation X. Xennials grew up in an era without the Internet and cell phones, but saw the rise of technology in their teens and early adulthood.
The Xennials era: A generation between analog youth and digital adulthood
Characteristic of Xennials is their ability to experience both an analog youth and a digital adulthood. They remember what it was like to play outside without smartphones and experienced the Internet during its pioneering years. Xennials often share common cultural references, such as the emergence of videotapes, Walkmans and the first game consoles.
The term "Xennials" arose to describe the unique experiences of this generation, which seems to fall somewhere in between two generations and has developed a distinct identity as a result.
