Webmail is a popular method of reading and sending e-mail messages. This does not use an e-mail program installed on the user's computer, but a special Web-based Web application accessible via the Internet.
After logging in to this website, the user can view and send e-mail messages in their web browser in a manner similar to a special e-mail program.
Well-known free e-mail services that offer webmail are Google's GMail and Microsoft's Outlook.com.
