Inbox
Also called: inbox
The inbox is a folder within an e-mail program or webmail environment where incoming e-mail arrives. From here, e-mail messages can be read by the recipient and then deleted or archived in another directory. Of each message, the recipient sees the sender's name, subject, date and whether the message has already been read.
