In the marketing world, television and radio are often mentioned in the same breath. Both media are examples of above-the-line communication, which can be used to create a lot of awareness for a brand, product or a specific offer in a limited amount of time. The field that deals with rtv advertising is also called rtv marketing.
Commercial messages on radio and television generally take the form of a commercial, broadcast during a commercial break. They can also be part of a regular broadcast. In this case, it may be in the form of product placement or a home shopping program, for example.
