Customer Profile
A customer profile is a description of the characteristic features of a specific consumer. In this process, a fictitious person symbolizes the (ideal) target group of an organization. A customer profile can largely be based on existing customers and their recent activities, but a profile can also be sketched of a desired target group. The latter case involves the creation of an ideal customer profile. In addition, some organizations use multiple customer profiles when the characteristic features of different target groups are too far apart.
Creating a customer profile involves focusing on things like age, location, hobbies, position, income, buying behavior, goal/motivation and challenges and/or pain points. With the wide availability of data, these points can be understood in a relatively simple way. All these characteristics are of great importance to be able to personalize the communication with the customer which, especially in this current society, is a clear distinguishing value. With this we have immediately indicated the importance of creating a customer profile. A company that knows its target group well is better able to approach this consumer in the right way with marketing activities. Based on a well-formulated customer profile, a sales funnel can be created and/or optimized. This is the reason why many companies attach great importance to drawing up a customer profile. Having the "sign of the customer" makes it possible to find new leads much easier, qualify new prospects, shape account-based marketing (personalize marketing messages) and build customer loyalty.
