Dissemination Agency
A distribution agency is a company that handles the delivery of advertising materials (advertising leaflets, flyers and magazines) and door-to-door magazines. Distribution agencies are paid by publishers and advertisers to have their publications delivered door-to-door.
For door-to-door distribution of printed materials, agencies employ delivery drivers. Distribution agencies divide their operating area into leaflet districts and/or newspaper districts. Each district has at least one delivery person. This allows the agencies to deliver to every address in the area where they operate. Distributing leaflets and newspapers is a popular side job among young people. The compensation that deliverers receive usually depends on the number of addresses and leaflets they have to distribute.
There are both dissemination agencies that operate nationwide and those that have only a certain region as their dissemination area. Many local parties can still offer national coverage by partnering with other dissemination agencies.
Some distribution agencies provide additional services, such as addressed mail delivery and courier services, in addition to the distribution of unaddressed advertising materials.
