Right of Resistance
Companies where you are a customer have the right to contact you by phone, even if your phone number is listed on the Do Not Call Registry. This applies even if you have asked the company for an offer or telephone conversation. However, if you do not wish to be contacted by a company, this must be respected. This is established within the right to object in the Telecommunications Act.
With every telemarketing call, you have the opportunity to exercise the right to object. The moment you indicate that you no longer wish to be called, the company must remove your data from all call lists so that you will no longer be called. Companies should actively point out this possibility and no charge should be made for using this right.
