Who or what is the IMU?

Should you be familiar in the field of Online Marketing, there is a good chance that you know the IMU(Internet Marketing University). This is because Tonny and Martijn, the owners of the IMU, are well-known online marketers. In 2010, Tonny started the Internet Marketing University through which he teaches entrepreneurs about online marketing. Later, Martijn joined this. Together they run the IMU, through which they share online marketing knowledge in e-books, blogs, videos, courses, podcasts and events.

The IMU's SEO course: Master In SEO

We cannot deny that Tonny and Martijn have a lot of knowledge in the field of SEO. They have packed this knowledge into an online course; the Master in SEO course. In this course they tell you about the ultimate SEO recipe and promise that it will make you a master in SEO. This all sounds very nice, but is this actually true?

IMU Course Master of SEO

How about the Master of SEO course?

Daniel, the owner of Online Marketing Agency, is a guest blogger at Internet Marketing University. This means that from time to time he also shares his knowledge on IMU's website. Because the IMU works with a reward structure, Daniel was allowed to pick a course for free.

You guessed it ... that ended up being the Master in SEO course. It was up to me to find out if the course was worth the money.

What will you learn from the Master of SEO course?

The topics covered in the course are:

Despite the many topics, Tonny and Martijn managed to keep the course reasonably short and concrete. The course takes about 7 hours and consists of 12 modules and 57 lessons. In addition, you get a bonus video with the topic ''10X your traffic''.

The promises of the IMU

The IMU's promise reads, ''You can even make a career switch after taking this course and earn your money as an SEO expert.'' This statement is false in my opinion. After taking the course, you are not an SEO expert, because you only become one when you become familiar with the practice. However, you do have a good foundation after taking the course to possibly become an SEO expert.

The pros and cons of the SEO course

Before I give my unvarnished opinion, I will first explain the pros and cons of the course.

Advantages

  • What I found ideal about the platform is that I had unlimited access to all the videos of the course. Wherever and whenever I wanted.
  • The course highlights all the important topics related to SEO in an organized structure.
  • I find that Tonny and Martijn explain complex topics clearly. They make SEO understandable for every individual ... so also for the people who have very little knowledge of online marketing.
  • IMU knows how to translate theory well into practice. It tells you concretely how to implement certain SEO factors immediately.

Cons

  • If we talk about the disadvantages, I must admit that there are virtually none. What we cannot avoid is the hefty price of the course. For many people, this can be a barrier to taking the course.

My unvarnished opinion on the SEO course. Is it worth the €997?

It's time for my unvarnished opinion. After all, can IMU deliver on its promise? And have I really become a Master of SEO by taking the course? To be fair, IMU has put out a good course. Taking the Master in SEO course gives you a general idea of how SEO works. All the important topics are addressed and explained in a clear way. There is a clear structure with enough information on each topic.

But now the main question of this article :''Is the Master in SEO course worth €997?''
That depends on what you do with the knowledge. Do you take immediate action or do you ignore the knowledge? If you take immediate action, it is definitely worth the money. With the knowledge from the course and a bit of patience, you can significantly improve your own or others' Google positions, which can double your money back. If you end up doing nothing with the knowledge, it's a waste of money.

So basically the question is: Are you making sure the course is worth the money?
