Ezoic Review: the best Adsense alternative?

Personally, I was not very satisfied with Google Adsense, so I started looking for an alternative. After testing several variants, I ended up with Ezoic.

Ezoic is, in my opinion, the ultimate Adsense alternative. And in this article, I'm going to tell you all about Ezoic. Kind of like an Ezoic review.

What is Ezoic?

Ezoic is a complete system that constantly helps optimize your ads, improve your load time, cookies and more.

Of course, the goal is to set up your website in the best possible way so that you, the publisher, earn as much as possible from ads.

Since Ezoic is so much more than just an advertising platform, it really cannot be compared to Google Adsense.

Functionalities of Ezoic at a glance

As you can see in the screenshot above, Ezoic has quite a few features. I am going to explain them briefly so you know what is possible.

Home -> Here you can see an overview of the number of visitors, turnover, revenue per day and core web vitals score.

Monetization -> Here you can adjust all kinds of settings of Ezoic. Think of importing historical data (from Adsense, for example), the ad tester and 10 more important settings.

Speed -> This is where you will find Ezoic's Leap tool. When you install Leap, it tracks the speed of your website. But the tool can also make its own adjustments that will make your website faster.

SEO -> This is the feature of Ezoic that allows you to improve some of your SEO. For example, with Ezoic you can test and try out different page titles.

Privacy -> I also find this a very powerful tool from Ezoic. With this you can easily install an SSL, create a privacy policy and set up a cookie banner

Analytics -> I don't think I need to say too much about this. This is Ezoic's Analytics tool where you can see all the data. Think revenue, traffic, pages, real-time users and much more.

Design -> Allows you to let Ezoic work on the design itself. Ezoic can make adjustments to your website, to make sure your website becomes even better at what it is supposed to do.

Content -> Under this heading you can turn on all kinds of changes and features regarding content. Think of removing and testing scripts, excluding pages and adding information about your website.

Settings -> Here you can adjust all the settings. What's in a name, right?

Advantages and disadvantages of Adsense

For my hobby project I worked with Adsense for several months and in the past I have also worked with Adsense. Adsense works incredibly easy and you don't need a lot of knowledge.

It really is plug-and-play and that is a big advantage.

But then that is directly the downside. The potential of Adsense is not very big, because you mainly need more visitors to make more sales. In addition, as a small publisher you obviously never have direct contact with Google if something unexpectedly goes wrong.

You can run various optimizations and tests with Adsense, but then it really stops.

Advantages and disadvantages of Ezoic

The advantage of Adsense is the disadvantage of Ezoic. To install and prepare Ezoic, you really need knowledge of your website and hosting.

If you don't have that, it can easily take you a few days. After all, you have to figure everything out first.

But then we go straight to the advantage. When Ezoic finally runs, you will earn 2-5 times more than with Adsense. And in addition, Ezoic has all kinds of useful tools that you can use to make your website even better.

What I'm most impressed with is Ezoic's support. You get an account manager who literally helps you with everything. With questions, optimizations, ambiguities, etc.

You often get a response within a day and you are always treated in a friendly manner. And that's really worth something, too.

Ezoic vs Adsense: why Ezoic is better

If you have read the pros and cons, then it is clear to you why I choose Ezoic.

• The first reason is that I earn much more with Ezoic than with Adsense
• Reason two is that Ezoic's support is fantastic
• Reason three is that Ezoic is a much more complete tool and is going to add many more functionalities.

For these reasons, Ezoic is the ultimate alternative to Adsense for me. Ezoic states that their algorithm takes 3 months to optimize. In the meantime, I'm a month and a half into it and I'm already earning 3 times as much as with Adsense.

So I hope we can still scale that up to 5x more sales.
