Mobile first
Mobile first is a strategy within web design, specifically the design and construction of responsive websites. With mobile-first design, visitors with mobile apartments (such as smartphones) are the starting point for website design.
As with all responsive websites, visitors using all devices will see the same website with the same content. The responsive display of the site on non-mobile devices, such as computers and laptops with larger screens, is derived from mobile first design. This is in contrast to using a conventional website as a starting point when creating a design or developing a separate mobile site.
